After five decades
as a serious amatuer, Rich began shooting professionally in 2005 for
a large real estate firm in Denver. In 2006, he moved to Larimer County
and began serving real estate agents in Northern Colorado.
His outstanding images for flyers and online... helped agents sell "location" as well as the house.
Rich
Salmon has long described himself as "a storyteller with a camera."
His film, How The Train Got to Silver
Plume, is a 14-minute historical documentary that was shown in the Georgetown Terminal
viewing room at the Georgetown Loop Railroad and Mining Museum. Click here for the authentic sound of their steam engine, recorded within the canyon.
Another
photo success is a film of the 130 year history of St. Patrick's Roman
Catholic Church in Silver Plume, Colorado entitled Transformed.

As a photographer and publisher, Rich co-authored William H. Salmon,
an Autobiography, containing over 300 historical and original
images... his most extensive photojournal.
A five minute documentary of the Sights and Sounds of the Bay of Banderas portrays the 2,000 ft deep Pacific bay beside Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where Rich lived for six years.
A weeklong shoot for a Bed & Breakfast in the Olympic Peninsula
of Washington, produced 120 high quality images used in their extensive
website, enabling their initial season to be an outstanding success.
Rich was a sales rep for several decades in the IBM Office Products
Division, marketing the IBM Selectric® Composer and IBM
printers and copiers used for typesetting and publications. He also
worked for Kinko's as a publications consultant to individuals wishing
to self-publish for their own businesses. Formal education in photography
and website design has included Harding University, Red Rocks Community
College and Front Range Community College in Longmont.
