About the Producers

Rich and Larry working at the iMac computerRich Salmon and Larry Knowles teamed up during the Fall of 2005 to produce this film. Rich brought his photography and the 19th century images he had collected from the online archive of the Colorado Historical Society. He wrote the screenplay and recorded the narrative. Larry used Apple software called iMovie to bring it all together. They even went to Silver Plume and conducted a focus group with board members of the George Rowe Museum to verify historical details. The museum subsequently scheduled a Premier month for showing the railroad film, corresponding with the opening of the Georgetown Loop's 2006 summer season.
